Rice Flour for DIY Beauty Recipes

Published July 30, 2026 · Glow Rituals Beauty

Rice flour is a fine, soft powder used in some DIY masks and body polishes when you want a gentle creamy texture. It should be used carefully: soft does not mean irritation-free for every face.

Rice flour works best as a small texture ingredient, not a harsh scrub.
Best for: gentle body polishes, creamy masks, soft-texture DIY recipes. Avoid when: skin is irritated, broken, sunburned or freshly exfoliated.

How Rice Flour Is Used

In Glow Rituals recipes, rice flour is usually mixed with aloe, rose water, yogurt or oil to make a smooth paste. Keep the texture creamy and never rub hard on facial skin.

Safety Notes

Patch test first. Avoid the eye area and skip rice flour on active irritation, broken skin or after strong exfoliants. If a recipe feels gritty, add more liquid or choose oats instead.
